FAQ

Where is HICOM Industrial Estate in Shah Alam?

It is south of the Federal Highway, mainly in Section 26 with parts in Sections 27 and 28, postcodes 40400 and 40000. MBSA runs it. Do not confuse it with HICOM-Glenmarie in Section U1, postcode 40150.

Is the Proton plant in Section 26 still running?

No. Proton built cars in Shah Alam from 1985 until 30 September 2025, when the last Saga rolled out. Production is now in Tanjung Malim. No new use for the site had been announced in the October 2025 report.

How do lorries reach HICOM Industrial Estate?

Through the KESAS Hicom interchange (exit 507), the Shah Alam-Puchong (Hicom) Highway, and Persiaran Kuala Selangor, which runs through Section 26.

Are HICOM Industrial Estate factories freehold?

It depends on the lot. Mah Sing's iParc 2 parcel is documented as freehold, but there is no estate-wide source. Each FactoryHub listing here states its own tenure; check the title before you commit.
